Porn for Women

Okay, don't faint on me. I read a review of "Porn for Women" in People Magazine, and I think it's one of the funniest, most apt books I've ever seen.

Too bad the title will make people cringe (and with good reason).

"Porn for Women" is about what women dream of in men . . . and the cover shows a man vacuuming. LOL! I love it.

The review I read featured a couple of other pages, too. In one double-page spread, a man is holding out a plate with a slice of cake on it. The caption? "Eat this. I don't like to see you looking so thin."

On another page, a man has crossed his arms and has an intent look on his face. I'm paraphrasing, but the caption is something like: "Really? That's fascinating. Tell me all about it."

So . . . if you have an open-minded gal pal, keep this book in mind. My copy hasn't arrived yet, so I'll let you know if it lives up to its tantalizing promise!

I like the one where he's interested in what the woman has to say. Ahhh...... :)

BTW, I just began The Truth Teller and that is one great opening chapter!! Whoa! I can't wait to continue!

I just sorted through all my books to find the ones I've already read so I could give them to a friend. I realized I have quite a few Angela Hunt books I haven't read yet: The Truth Teller, Justice, and The Pearl. How exciting - like Christmas or something! :)

Finally, our prayers are so with those many, many families in Virginia. :( May God be glorified somehow within such tragedy.

Oh and Unspoken too! And I thought I owned The Canopy but I didn't see it in there. After Planet Earth last night I'm really interested to read The Canopy! Very interesting...

Funny about Dana and The Canopy, I thought the same thing while watching Planet Earth (on the Discovery Channel) last night. Great show-great book.

Let me know if it's as good as it sounds! I'd love to give it to my grandma and her best friend at our yearly Girls' Night Out.

I'm afraid I have to confess to viewing some last night. My husband cooked french toast, sausage, scrambled eggs--even mixed the orange juice--while I was with our daughter at ballet. Then he did the dishes. ;-)Scandalous!
