Dead At Your Age

I should have found this page while I was working on the Fairlawn series . . .

Okay . . . this may seem a little strange, but it's really fascinating. Go to Dead At Your Age.com to see what notables you've outlived.

I've outlived Walter Reed. And he has a medical center named after him! (I don't see any memorial buildings on my horizon!)

So . . . who have you outlived?

~~Angie

P.S. Happy Birthday to my darling daughter today!

I've outlived Narcissa Prentiss Whitman by two days. She was one of the first settlers in the West and victim of an Indian massacre of missionaries in 1847. She died by murder on November 29, 1847, 122 years before I was born.

I've outlived Boris Trajkovski by three days. He was the president of Macedonia (1999-2004) awarded the World Methodist Peace Award for averting a civil war.

The other ones listed were just about as obscure!

You've outlived Philip Kearny Jr. by one day. He was a U.S. soldier who lost an arm in the Mexican-American War but went on to become Civil War general. He died of injuries sustained in battle on September 1, 1862, 100 years before you were born.

I have out lived two John's.
John Ritter and John Calvin, both by two months.

Another interesting site is
www.findagrave.com. If you want to find out where famous people are buried. You could spend several days in LA visiting cemeteries.

Bonnie Parker was about 2 months younger than you when she died by homicide on March 23, 1934. She was a Depression-era outlaw who joined Clyde Barrow in a bank-robbing spree across the West. She died 52 years before you were born.

Haha! I outlived Bonnie from Bonnie & Clyde! That's a hoot!
