My iPad

[Photo: Terri holds up her iPad.]

So I finally broke down and got an iPad. And I think I'm in love . . . and I didn't expect to be.

So far, it does everything I want a laptop to do, only it's a lot smaller. It reads books, it gets my email, it surfs the web. And yesterday I even made a completely FREE iPad to iPad phone call to my friend Terri in Mississippi--and it sounded like she was standing right next to me.

Yes, it plays music. Yes, I could write on it (with the wireless keyboard I already have). Yes, I can edit on it (though I haven't tried this yet).

The only thing it doesn't have--that my iPhone and computer DO have--is a camera. But I usually have the iPhone or the camera with me, so maybe that's a moot point.

Mothers and Fathers, you may actually save yourself money if you get your kids an Ipad instead of a laptop . . . and they will only get better. (The iPads, not necessarily the kids).

Exhaling the happily contented sigh of a true gadget girl,

Angie

My son bought me one and I love it! I also think he's fulfilled his gifting "requirements" for the near future!

It has enough storage to put your whole WIP on?

Loved your comment about the "getting better" and the kids!

It's so funny to think back years when my sister used to bring home those punch cards when she was doing Computer Science!
