The Coming TV Switch

I didn't care much for this video at first because it seemed to be making fun of older people. And my mom is pretty hip when it comes to technology--years ago I taught her how to email, and she's been doing it ever since.  If I can only get her to switch from a PC to a Mac, her coolness will be complete.  :-)

But I could see my grandmother, if she were still with us, behaving like the woman in this commercial.  My favorite bit is at the end, when she's sounding out the URLs.  Cute!

  2. She made me smile! Reminded me so much of my Grandmother, and I miss her. I wouldn't be able to figure it out either, and I think I'm pretty cool (minus the mac;-)
    Angie,
If you like Mercy Me, they have been broadcasting their concerts (and soundchecks and stuff)live at their blog this week. Those guys are so funny! If you have time later today check them out. They're playing at Madison Square Garden tonight. The live chat with the tour manager and all of us fans was pretty funny too (during the concert while they were on stage.) Just don't mention churros:-)

  3. Oh, my. That would be my mom. I'm glad she's not going to have to suffer through that.

  4. When it comes to the TV and all it's cords -- that's ME! LOL

I loved this. I love older people and well... I think they nailed it. LIke I said, you don't even have to be "older." I always get my 10 year old son to figure those things out!

  6. *Oh my*

I had a conversation with my Mom this weekend - she thought she HAD to buy a new TV - but she's got cable, so the change won't affect her at all.

I had to make her repeat after me several times, "I do not need a new tv, I do not need a new tv."

    LOL
