Just saw the new cover for "The Note 2: Taking a Chance on Love" which is to release in early May, just in time for Mother's Day. The DVD of the movie should release at the same time.
To refresh your memory, first there was the book, THE NOTE, and then the Hallmark movie, THE NOTE.
And since the movie was so successful, the company that optioned the rights to THE NOTE the book wrote a screenplay, THE NOTE 2. And then they hired me to write a novella of the screenplay. The plot is pretty much the same as the movie, but I was able to "deepen" the characters and the story. I think you'll enjoy digging deeper into the story, as I was able to pick up some threads from the original novel.
Is all that clear as mud? :-) Anyway, I really enjoyed working on the story and hope you'll enjoy it, too. You can preorder it here and get it hot off the press. I'm just delighted to see the cover!

Woo-hoo! Angie, this is great at so many levels!
ReplyDeleteThe cover is charming and having your name on the cover with well-known and loved actors . . . wow!
Okay, publishers out there, stand in line, our Angie is one hot ticket! Talent and relevancy!
Very cool Angie! How exciting for you :)
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to sound snarky, but I think Ted McGinley is a very handsome middle-aged man. (After all, King and Peyton have grown children.) So I have to wonder--why'd someone airbrush all the lines out of that wonderful face?
ReplyDeleteSigh.
Angie
haha -- I was wondering the same thing, Angie! Can't wait to see it. (I don't have cable, so I wasn't able to catch it on the Hallmark Channel.)
ReplyDeleteWay fun! Can't wait. Lora B made me feel better. I thought I was the only one in the nation without cable TV!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Linda! :) You are most definitely not alone. Have a great day, everyone.
ReplyDeleteWell, Angie, as long as snarky has been introduced ... I am delighted that you have fleshed out some of the characters and the story from The Note II for the novella. I had secretly wished as I watched it that this movie, too, had been from a book you had written. I felt The Note had a greater depth. Am I making sense? Am I being overly biased? I'm trying to give up Overindulgence for Lent. Only two days in, and I've already broken it. *sigh* Clyde
ReplyDeleteWhooo-Hooooo. That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou won't believe it but I just rented and watched the Note for the first time and came to your site to tell you how much I loved it and this is the post that was up! I'm so excited there is a part 2!
