She'll Clean Out your House

A hilarious article in our newspaper this morning. (At least I thought it was funny.)

Apparently a man (whose wife was out of town), found maid services on the Internet.  NUDE maid services.  At $100 per hour.  So he called and engaged the maid to clean his four bedroom, three-bath house.

When his wife came home, however, she discovered that the maid had cleaned out her jewelry box.  Apparently the man left her alone for a few minutes while she cleaned the bedroom.

Now--I'm not in favor of stealing, but something in me thinks that man got exactly what he deserved.  From his wife.  :-)

Well, I WILL give him points for not staying in the bedroom with the maid!

Betcha he's gonna be cleaning the house himself for a looooong time.

That's just creepy!

On a side note, I read Doesn't She Look Natural last weekend, and wrote a review at my blog. It was fantastic - and I've already ordered She Always Wore Red, which hopefully will be here for this weekend's reading. I didn't say this in my review (for personal reasons), but I especially appreciated the fact that you dealt with divorce, and in the way that you did. Divorce is a reality in the church and my sister is currently trying to repair her marriage, though it doesn't look hopeful. If Christian authors want to be relevant, they have to deal with this reality, though not callously or in an offhand manner. You did it very well, so thank you.

By the way, when does the third book in the series come out - and will that be the last one?

Hmmm. The question is though, where did she hide the loot?

Oh, please, pretty please, let's assume she tucked it into the pile of clothing she must have worn to the job.

The alternatives are not fun to consider. :-/

Carrie, I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but your spam blocker wouldn't let me through!

The third and final Fairlawn book is called SHE'S IN A BETTER PLACE and it's scheduled for a Spring 2009 release. Thanks for asking!
